All being well I shall be doing a latex balloon launch on Sunday. Just one flight, no SSDV, but there'll be at least 2 trackers possibly 3. One of the trackers is a test and I'd really like signal strength comparisons please between that one and the others. Not sure yet if I'll be streaming video from the launch/chase on batc. Launch site is in Cumbria with a landing hopefully south of the Yorkshire Dales. I'll post more details including frequencies etc on Friday. Dave
------------
More details on the flight: Launch site is Alston in Cumbria. Flight path will take it SSE approx 50 miles, landing in North Yorkshire. The Yorkshire Immigration Service have been informed. Launch time 11:00 UTC/ISH this Sunday Expected flight profile is 5m/s ascent, 5m/s final descent, 30km burst. However depending on predictions Sunday morning I may change any or all of these :-) Tracker 1 is AVA on 434.436MHz, 50 baud, 7 data, no parity, 2 stop bits, shift 460Hz. This one is testing Anthony's latest software including some geofence code. It's also testing a small screw-in antenna so we're expecting a weaker signal from this one than the other trackers; it will be really useful if you can all give feedback on the signal strength of this compared with the other trackers. Tracker 2 is BUZZ on 434.075MHz, 50 baud, 7 data, no parity, 2 stop bits, shift 460Hz Tracker 3 is CLOUD on 434.2000MHz, 300 baud, 7 data, no parity, 2 stop bits, shift 460Hz Hopefully will have live streaming on batc.tv from the chase car, so you'll be able to watch the snow falling :p Dave
